Kris Plimpton of Mansfield Center, is a jewelry instructor offering jewelry-making classes and workshops in her Greater Hartford studio as well as at two local schools – Manchester Community College and at Windham High School via EastConn Continuing Education. Kris needs a website that allows her to easily edit her schedule of classes – as well as add new photos of her work on a regular basis. Margaret’s Folly provided Bellefire Beads with an affordable website solution with an open source software program that allows Kris to make her own edits and to begin blogging (when she can find the time). The Bellefire Beads website is hosted on a low-cost web host that offers free email and it uses a low cost photo content management solution that allows Kris to easily add photos to her Flash-based slideshows. Kris added a slideshow to showcase her students’ jewelry designs and she updates it often without the need to ask Margaret to make the edits to her website.
