In the late fall of 2008, a group of interior decorators (including Lisa Leonardi of The Room Doctor and Robin Reed of Robin Reed Ltd.) asked Margaret if she would be willing to take on a pro bono project for a good cause. These decorators needed a website for DesignWish… an organization that holds a contest once yearly in order to decorate one room in the home of a needy or deserving family. Margaret jumped at the chance to help out this group of selfless decorators. The result is a website that Margaret edits and maintains for DesignWish. It includes Flash-based slideshows showing the DesignWish team informing the happy recipients of the award as well as the “reveal.” (If you watch HGTV shows, you already know this… the reveal is when deserving family enters the home for the first time to see their newly-decorated room.) Margaret’s Folly included free email and a downloadable application so that people can easily nominate deserving friends and family members.
