Margaret’s Folly designed the website for Madison Avenue Hair & Skin Salon in 2006 but the site had a slight face lift again in 2008. The old site used a content management solution that often needed to be upgraded – adding to the cost of website maintenance for owner, Mark Palumbo. The new site was created using open source – meaning free – software. Mark’s support staff can make their own edits to their site. Additionally, Margaret used a free open source e-commerce solution enabling Mark to sell gift certificates online.
