Launched in February of 1999, Bob Weber Jr.’s Slylock Fox & Comics for Kids won its first award, Showcase Site of the Day from About.com, in its first three weeks online. Only two weeks later, About.com awarded Slylock Best of the Net – March 1999. In November of 1999, the site was called an Educational Best Bet by USA Today.
